Day Five: April 28, 2005

Driving around with Martinus and Simon I encountered a large female gemsbok.   Simon jumped out of the truck and ran away from the animal.  That confused me until I realized that he was taking me to higher ground at the same time making it obvious to the gemsbok that we were leaving.  

He set up the tripod and we waited for a shot.  I shot the gemsbok over sticks at 190 yards.  She had a very long set of horns.
